I am a Full Spectrum Doula, I trained with Doula Training International as well as a Certified Lactation Counselor through the Healthy Children’s Project certified through the Academy of Lactation Policy & Practice. I work on supporting people through reproductive events such as fertility, conception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. As well as providing non-judgmental baby feeding support.
My name is Samantha, but most people call me Sami, and I was born and raised in Southern Maine! I went to college at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine where I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health & Wellness and minored in Biology! I love the mix of traditional science as well as taking a holistic approach to many aspects of life. During the work day you can find me working in immigration and population health field. Fun facts about me include my absolute love for travel and I am working on learning my fourth language!
In 2022 I decided to begin studying to become a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) as I continually saw people struggling to find comprehensive and non-judgmental lactation support. In 2023, I certified through the Academy of Lactation Policy & Procedure (ALPP) and have been practicing as an independent CLC since. I find joy in working with parents to determine how is best for them to feed their baby/babies and supporting them through their decision(s).

During my training with Doula Trainings International, I took a course on how to practice the slow doula method. This training helps me step back from a space, evaluate the situation, and determine where I can best refocus the energy.
